Making New Friends Across Oceans In November of 1996, the Sugito International Exchange Association was officially established and Sugito formed a sister-city relationship with Busselton, a coastal town located about 260 kilometers south of Perth, Australia. Each year, the two towns strengthen their relations by exchanging goodwill missions and Assistant English Teachers from Busselton are invited to work in Sugito's schools. Also, Sugito works hard at deepening international understanding by such means as offering Japanese language classes for Sugito's residents from other countries.
